Conference room ethernet connections:

If you wish to connect your computer to the Internet using an ethernet port in a conference center room, you must register your computer's ethernet card's hardware address (Media Access Control or "MAC address") with Residential Computing at least 24 hours before you need it.

IP addresses for Conference Center rooms are automatically assigned using the Residential Computing DHCP system.

Instructions on how to find your computer's "MAC address" may be found at www.net.berkeley.edu/cns/service/DHAA/development/config.html#ethad

Then, contact Deirdre Chamberline in Residential Computing, 510-643-0815, dedra@rescomp.berkeley.edu
