Frequently Asked Questions about applying for admission if you have a disability.
Interested in accessibility at Berkeley? One of the best sources of information about access on the Berkeley campus is the Campus Access Guide. It has maps that outline physical access to buildings on campus and the slope of campus paths, links to transportation options in the local area, information on technology access, and info on other disability-related resources.
Preparing for your arrival as a Berkeley student? DSP has guidelines for defining and documenting your disability as well as a page that lists the disability verification requirements.
DSP offers a wide range of services and programs. In particular you might want to see if you qualify for one of the following:
- The TRIO/SSS Project is designed as a critical component of DSP’s services for undergraduate students to promote retention and graduation.
- The Disabled Students' Residence Program (DSRP) provides eligible students with significant mobility impairments (requiring daily attendant assistance care) an opportunity to attend Cal while developing the critical skills and confidence needed to live independently.
