Addison Wightman (he/him) is a Disability Specialist at UC Berkeley, supporting graduate and professional students in accessing accommodations and navigating campus accessibility. He brings a student-centered, justice-oriented approach grounded in years of experience in higher education and disability services.
Addison holds a BA in Sociology from UCLA and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from Cal State LA, along with certificates in Higher Education & Career Counseling and Addiction Studies. His career began as a drug and alcohol counselor, including work at the Pasadena Recovery Center. He later supported law, MBA, and health sciences students with disabilities at UCLA, and worked with Veterans Affairs and the Department of Rehabilitation.
Originally from San Gabriel, Addison grew up in Southern California. He now lives in the Bay Area with his wife and his service dog, Winston. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, cooking, glamping, and catching a good baseball game.
