Juliana has worked with students with disabilities for over four years, by coaching students one-on-one, connecting students to various on- and off-campus resources, partnering with faculty and staff, and leading academic success workshops and programming for gaining and maintaining study skills necessary for academic success. Prior to joining the Disability Specialist team, Juliana worked in TRiO DSP SSS as a Learning Specialist and an Academic Success Coach at the University of Rochester. She earned an M.Ed. in Counseling - Student Affairs at Northern Arizona University, where she worked as a Graduate Learning Specialist. Juliana earned her undergraduate degree at California State University, Monterey Bay where she worked as a writing tutor, interned for a nonprofit serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and received a B.A. in Collaborative Health & Human Services.
From these experiences, Juliana gained a passion for helping students with disabilities achieve academic success by meeting their personal, financial, career, and academic goals while in college. Outside of work, Juliana enjoys buying plants and trying to keep them alive, swimming competitively, spending time with friends and family, raising her rabbit, and adventuring outside, especially around national parks.
