Disability Student Support Services
Who We Are
TRiO Disability Student Support Services is dedicated to supporting Cal students with disabilities, including those from low-income backgrounds. We do so with higher-touch services, events, and enrichment workshops that cultivate a sense of belonging for TRiO students as well as develop the necessary skill sets to achieve their goals. In doing, we empower our students to exceed their potential while making Cal a more equitable and inclusive university.
What We Do
At TRiO Disability Student Support Services, we provide higher touch services to cultivate a supportive community at Cal. We provide students with the following support services:
- Individualized Academic Coaching, Advising, and Goal Setting
- Education to Improve Financial Literacy
- Financial Aid and Scholarship Assistance
- Graduate/Professional School and Career Counseling
- Academic Soft Skills Training
- Peer Academic Coaching and Peer Tutoring in select courses
- Community Building and Cultural Events
The Federal TRiO programs have proven to be helpful in increasing the retention, good academic standing, and graduation rates of students. To benefit from TRiO’s history of success, TRiO Disability Student Support Services students must comply with the following expectations:

Take Telegraph Avenue to Channing Way and make a left on Channing Way. Slottman Hall will be on the left-hand side after Bowditch Street, across from Crossroads Dining. Enter Slottman Hall by using the accessible down ramp before the main entrance. Those doors are open during business hours.
