About Me

Hello, and welcome to my DSP webpage. I started my career with the UC Berkeley DSP in January of 2018.  I am a licensed Special Education Teacher with 10 years of experience working in the K-12 system supporting students with mild to moderate learning disabilities.  Over the course of my career, I have had the great opportunity to gain extensive experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum.  Much of my work and expertise has derived from resource and transition programs, as well as, therapeutic recreational programs to support young adults with social and communication disorders.

I received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master's of Teaching degree in Special Education at National Louis University in Chicago.  My approach to working with students with disabilities is centered around self-advocacy and developing the skills that will enable each student to achieve their desired level of independence.

My advice to all DSP students is to identify the support systems on campus that will help you to achieve your personal and academic goals and reach out to them.  There are so many wonderful people and supports here on campus. Take full advantage!

When I am not working on campus, I am busy exploring the Bay area, trying new coffee shops and hiking trails along the ocean.  My passion for travel has led me to work and study across 3 continents.  I have travel bucket list that is forever evolving.
