What is AIM?

It’s a web-based database system that provides a means for DSP to communicate and interact with faculty, staff, and disabled students from one robust platform.

It’s a Comprehensive Accommodation, Appointment, and Case Management Software program that’s built By Disability Services Professionals, For Disability Services Departments such as DSP.

It’s also fully integrated with Berkeley Student Information System (SIS/Cal Central) making coordination of services for students easier.

What Can Students Do in AIM?

  1. Apply for DSP services online
  2. Attach and upload documentation directly into the system
  3. Request letters of accommodation (LOAs) and accommodation services for each course
  4. Access notes directly from AIM 
  5. View book information for each course and request alternative media services
  6. View proctoring information including date, time, and location

What Can Instructors Do In AIM?

  1. See a comprehensive list of students
  2. Perform sort or search functions
  3. View accommodation letters (LOAs)
  4. Find email addresses of students and export complete list to a file
  5. Upload a copy of course syllabus
  6. Initiate an exam request
  7. Upload a copy of an exam to be proctored
  8. Complete a video captioning request
  9. See notetaker assigned to course as well as their notes
